Scope of Practice

The firm assists clients in various legal matters relating to immigration from Mainland China and overseas to settle in Hong Kong, as well as assisting clients in applying for various types of visas for residence in Hong Kong. In addition, the firm assists clients with verification of Hong Kong permanent resident status after 7 years of residence, and with appeals against refusal of permanent residency by the Hong Kong Immigration Department. The firm also represents clients in various criminal cases investigated by the Immigration Department. The Firm’s practice in this area include:

• Applications by children born in the Mainland to Hong Kong residents to settle in Hong Kong to obtain the right of permanent residence in Hong Kong.
• Children born abroad to Hong Kong residents applying to settle in Hong Kong to acquire the permanent right of abode in Hong Kong.
• Applications for residence visas (work visas, self-employed visas, dependant visas, etc.).
• Applications (TTPS, ASMTP, QMAS, etc.).
• Applications for verification of Hong Kong permanent resident status.
• Assisting and representing clients in handling criminal cases investigated by the Immigration Department.
• Appeal cases before the Immigration Department.
